Oh. My. God.

Bearings: My room.
Feeling:
aggravated
Listening To: Something quite bassy from the living room
ARGH! I just need to vent. My next door neighbours are sooo bloody loud. They have god knows how many people living there, and all of those people seem to be making noise almost constantly!
I'm pretty sure 90% of the house's inhabitants are children because most of the noises are very, very high-pitched screaming and crying. And you'd think it's alright because children generally go to bed early, right? Wrong. These children never seem to go to bed, in the middle of the night I can hear them running around, slamming doors. It's a wonder I ever get any sleep at all.
Man, I miss the old people thatg used to live next door to me...

Song, from my iPod this time!
Feb. 8th, 2009 | 03:07 pm
Listening To: XO - Fall Out Boy
Lies are lies in everybody's eyes and I don't believe you,
I got troubled thoughts and the self-esteem to match,
They say that kid he's got,
Babe show me something, don't say nothing,
Hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York City?
Drink down that Gin and Kerosine,
I realize that I'm just naturally inclined,
My gift is my song,
The day you move, I'm probably gonna explode,
Together we cry,
This one's shorter, because I can't be bothered to make it any longer!

Feeling:
okay
Listening To: Mastermind - Mindless Self Indulgence
Okay, I saw this on someone else's lj and thought it was a good idea. You have to put your iPod on shuffle and then put the first line of the first 15 songs together to make a song. This one's from my new iTunes which only has around 300 songs on it. (That's why there's loads of songs by the same artist)
I'm going to do one from my iPod which has all my music on it :) it should be better than this one!
Here's mine:
I've been let loose and now I'm crawling up the walls,
It's alright to tell me what you think about me,
Well if you wanted honesty that's all you had to say,
The clouds are marching along singing a song,
Bury me standing under your window with the cinder block in hand,
I'm coming apart at the seams,
Here's another pity and there's another chance,
To unexplain the unforgivable,
It's true that I'm a silver shadow,
I can make love feel just like heaven,
The ivy and your hospital bed,
You could've knocked me out with feather,
I got plans tonight,
Why'd you cut holes in the face of the moon base?
Stop stalling make a name for yourself,
I know a thing about contriction,
And lately I've been walking,
Well it rains and it pours when you're out on your own,
The party's alright, I might wanna stop drinking,
Sister I'm not much a poet but a criminal,
I put the song titles and artists behind a cut, I want to see if anyone can guess all of them!

Barrack Obama became the first African-American president today. It made me feel extremely proud to be black. I watched his whole inauguration speech, it was thoroughly inspiring, I have total faith that he will be a great president.

Song(s) of the moment
Jan. 8th, 2009 | 04:07 pm
Listening To: Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have... - Panic! At The Disco
At the moment, I am in love with Kids and Electric Feel by mgmt. Those two songs are soooo good! Every time i hear them i want to get up and start dancing!
Also I love 20 Dollar Nose Bleed by Fall Out Boy ft. Brendon Urie. I think Patrick and Brendon's voices go really well togeter and they compliment each other. If they did an album together, i would definitely buy it!
That's all for now, speak soon

The Festive Period

Bearings: At the Computer
Listening To: Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet - Fall Out Boy
How was everybody's Christmas. Well, I can tell you mine was pretty darn awesome!
To tell you the truth this year I wasn't feeling at all Christmasy, even on Christmas day. But that being said I still had a great time. After my mum and dad doing the whole 'Look! Santa brought you loads of presents this year' thing (which made me laugh, because I'm 14 and my brother is 18). We opened all of our presents and stuff. I got a new purple iPod nano, which was a complete surprise because I didn't even ask for it. I got some other bits like Folie A Deux, The Mighty Boosh Series 3, Infintiy On High, socks, pyjamas and the usual.
The week earlier, I stayed at my best friend's house and we did Christmas with them. We're like a big family, so it seemed only right to have 'Christmas' with them. We had a big dinner and did pressies. We (my family) bought Sophie pair of black and white jeans and a couple of other things (I wanted to buy her and MCR shirt and poster from the Bullets era, but my mum wasn't willing to buy anything from the US in cae it didn't fit). We (me and Sophie) bought Emily Ray Toro's Day Of The Dead mask, if you would've seen her face when she opened it - it was a picture! They got me the Panic At The Disco live dvd, and a couple of band tees and The Mighty Book Of Boosh. Gah, those people know me so well! The perfect presents!
Anyways, back to Christmas (real christmas) day. We went to my Grandma's like we do on every Christmas day. This year there was only 12 of us, when usually it can be anything up to 20 of us. After an amazing dinner, we moved onto the games. My brother bought his PS3 with him and I took my Wii. We played Singstar to begin with and we spilt into two teams, 'The Parents', which consisted of my mum and dad, and my auntie and uncle. Then there was 'The Kids' (more like the winners!), whcih consisted of me, my brother and my cousin. We played Singstar Legends and our parents kicked our butts! That was only because we didn't know half of the bloddy songs! But then we moved onto the newest Singstar and that was where 'the Kids' came into their own! We beat 'The Parents' on almost al of the songs. They were all complaing 'but we didn't know that one!', and we shot back with 'we did know any of the songs on the other singstar!' and that shut them up!
Then we moved onto playing the Wii, and boy, I didn't realise how hard it was to explain how to play Mario and Sonic at The olypmics to my parents! A lot of explaning later, we started playing and it was so fun to watch the adults play, especially when they forgot what to do!
After a while my cousin, my mum and I wet upstars to watch Eastenders, now I don't waych it, but it is so funny to watch sometimes so I did. About an hour later, the film Cool Runnings came on, and my cousin and i watched it, her almost reciting it line for line!
At about 11:30, we went home and I got to listen to FAD for the first time all the way through and my fave song is 20 Dollar Nose Bleed! It is so awesome!!

Had an uneventful day, but I found out that a boy that I know who got hit by a car last week is breathing on his own again - which is good.
I'm really excited because I'm probably going to see Fall Out Boy in march next year with my two friends and its going to be amaaaaazing! But Sophie can't come which really sucks!! But MSI in january is going to make up for it!!
Can't wait for both! Good times!

Rant
Oct. 19th, 2008 | 02:32 pm
Listening To: The Academy Is... - Black Mamba | Powered by Last.fm
This isn't really much of a journal entry, more of a rant. I've got soooooooo much coursework it's unbelievable! English lit, english lang, French, Media... the list goes on (trust me). The flow of work just never seems to stop, once I think I've got nothing to do, the next day I go to school and I'm slapped with another piece! Will it ever end?!
And on top of al of that, I'm thinking of dropping textiles. I really hate the lesson and the work is kinda boring. I think I dislike it so much because none of my friends are in the lesson and it's quite a relxed class, so we get to walk around and talk loads. Seeing as its a primarily practical subject. But the main reason why I hate it, is this girl in my class, she's so horrible (there's many worse name I could call her), how can I describe her to you? Um... think of the worst person you know and times her by, say, 50? Yep, that's the only way I can describe her. She's such a bitch, she makes the class a misery, she's one of those people that makes you on edge. You say one wrong thing and they'll torture you for it. She's never done anything to me, but I've seen her do some pretty evil things to other people.
Anyways, enough about the evil girl, I want to switch to art. I've been regretting not taking since the start of the year, seeing all of the cool stuff my friends are doing kinda started getting to me. And me being the clever ducky that i am knows that there is an art class at the same time as my textiles one. So when I go to school on monday, I'm going to talk to my head of year and ask him if I can switch. If he says no, I'm going to give him a sob story and maybe even turn on the water works, lol!
Listen to this awesome new Fall Out Boy Song called What A Catch, Donnie.
Elvis Costello, Brendon Urie, Travis McCoy William Beckett make appearances. Although to hear the last three you have to listen really carefully towards the end. They're singing lines from old FOB songs
